ALL ABOUT BEER MAG & TASTINGS.COM...BEST OF 2005

The May '06 edition of All About Beer Magazine is out and so is their Best of '05 series. Along with the Beverage Testing Institute (Tastings.com), the 3 best brews from each style was selected. I would have to agree with the high marks on many of them, but scratched my head with some. Then I decided to read the fine print:

"In 2005, The Beverage Testing Institute/Tastings.com evaluated more then 170 beers, meads, and ciders in 59 style categories. For each style, this list gives the top three entries of those that scored in the Platinum (96-100) or Gold (90-95) ranges."

"170 beers in 59 categories...." hmmm.
62 of the chart toppers are from 11 Brewing Companies. Just a little disclaimer
